Trails don't build themselves, they take a lot of planning and work to layout, build and maintain. Consider donating to our trailbuilding fund to ensure that the trails that you love to ride are here for the next generation to enjoy.
We are always looking for volunteers for several projects from trailbuilding and maintenance to help with events and fundraisers.
We offer several ways you can stay connected to the mountain biking community.
Get involved today or just get out and ride!
SORBA Tri-Cities, formerly Northeast Tennessee Mountain Bike Association, is an advocacy organization dedicated to the enhancement of mountain biking and the preservation of, and access to, trails across Northeast Tennessee.
Formed in December 1998, SORBA Tri-Cities has been creating opportunities for mountain biking as well as promoting responsible trail use. NTMBA is a chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) and a member of the Tennessee Mountain Biking Allicance (TMBA).
Working with virtually every land manager in the region and other non-profit trail advocacy organizations, we are conitinuously working to foster new relationships to help expand our mountain biking opportunities. Our members spend hundreds of hours each year in the woods building and maintaining trails across the region.
We have developed trails at Warriors Path State Park, the Elizabethton Watershed, and have ongoing projects in the Cherokee National Forest and Bays Mountain Park. For more information on current trails projects, visit our Projects page.
Each year, we host several clinics designed to help beginning riders develop their skills and their appreciation for mountain biking. These clinics also include trailside maintenance and trail building, all designed to promote outdoor fun and fitness. All rides and events are geared for fun to help you get as much from your cycling experience as possible while staying true to the club's "No-Drop Policy".
